So, the bad blogger that I am, it’s been far too long since I posted anything! My apologies! It’s been a busy few months; changing work schedules, tackling that monstrous household to-do list, taking a trip to Hawaii (I’ll post some pics later!!), and getting a new coworker (who I’ll introduce you to momentarily). But, I’m back now, and I’ve got a great series planned out for you.
I’ve been planning on doing a series of posts on shooting a wedding with the album in mind for quite a while. Why? Because I want to give you some ideas and thoughts on taking the best shots of the wedding, telling the story the best way possible, and therefore getting the best album design possible.
What will I talk about in the series? Well, I’m going to break it up into several blog posts, so it doesn’t become mind numbingly long. So you’ll have to keep checking back! Topics will include, but are not limited to:
- Setting the scene
- Action shots
- Consistency in verticals and horizontals
- Negative space and cropping
- Wide shots and close in shots
I’ll come up with more ideas I’m sure, as we get going, but this is what I have planned so far. The first post will go up tomorrow or Friday, so be sure and check back!
And, as mentioned above, I want to introduce you to my newest coworker. She’s quite delightful, always in a good mood. She’s been wonderful so far, though we do need to work on some of her work habits!
She gets a ton of
work playing done for a few hours, then passes out asleep like this, snoring away. At least I can get some work done when she sleeps!
